Ethiopian Food

This Section gives you an Idea about the Ethiopian Cuisine:
This is Mesfin and Myself, having a Drink, called Taj, which is a kind of a home-made Honey-Wine.

This is Grilled Beef Tibs on a small Charcoal Grill, to keep the Food hot, as well as raw marinated Beef Cubs. It is served with Mitmita, a spicy Chili Powder, Wasa and Ethiopian Mustard. Of Course Injera as well.

Something Special: A wide selection of Ethiopian Fasting Dishes. Tastes amazingly great!!! All spread out on the Injera Bread.

This are the raw marinated Beef Cubs i already mentioned above. They are just marinated with Awasa, which is a Chili-Paste, with Ethiopian Mustard and some other Spices as well as Butter. It is them dipped in some more Chili-Powder called Mitmita and eaten with Injera.

This is the same, just a different photo.

Here one more the Selection of the Fasting Dishes, entierly Vegetarian, before served onto the Injera.

Having Dinner together with Mesfin. Yos-Abessinia Restaurant in Addis Ababa.

This Time it is the Beef Tibs again, as they are just delicious, but now it comes with Kitfo, the finelly chopped raw Beef, marinated with Spices and the spiced Ethiopian Butter called "Kebbeh". Very nice two colored Injera Rolls and as accompaniments the Gomen with Cottage Cheese and the "Kotcho" a Kind Bread, baked between Banana Leafs.

Washing the Hands before eating is a must!!!

Here we are having Lunch at the Crown Hotel in Karliti, a bit outside of Addis. Great Place!

This is the Addis Ababa Restaurant. One of the Oldest and Best in Town!
